INNOVATION 2010 – Canada’s R&D Partnership Conference , is a unique national event that will take place on December 5-7, 2010 in Ottawa. The conference aims to address the future of research competitiveness and innovation in Canada’s economy. By putting their forces together for the first time, a strong partnership has been built between ACCT Canada, Federal Partners in Technology Transfer (FPTT) and the Networks of Centres of Excellence (NCE) to foster increased partnerships and collaborations among public, academic and private sectors.

Through the themes of Connect – Collaborate – Commercialize/Mobilize , the Conference emphasizes innovation, vision, collaboration and internationalization. INNOVATION 2010 will assemble representatives from Canada and the world, and will bring together leaders, key players and policy makers who are seeking new and creative ways to use and deploy research innovation in their business, organizations and institutions alike.

For Exhibitors: This is your opportunity to showcase your products and services to the full spectrum of publicly supported performers of research  including universities, hospitals, colleges, polytechnics, Federal laboratories and the various Centres of Excellence from across Canada. Exhibit space is limited and available on a first come, first served basis.

For Innovation Showcase Participants: Innovation Showcase Participants are the publicly supported performers of research. This is your opportunity to present your innovative organization! Table top space is available to any organization wishing to showcase their expertise, licensing opportunities, products, services and/or achievements to Canada’s industrial and business community, decision makers in business development,  R&D partnership , commercialization and industry engagement. You must be a registered conference participant to take part in the Innovation Showcase. Space is limited and assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

Coffee breaks will be strategically located to generate traffic to the Exhibitor and Innovation Showcase areas.

Benefits

Exhibitor Fees
The cost of exhibition space consisting of one 10’ x 10’ booth space and one 6 foot table with two chairs is $950 (plus HST). A 20% discount on Registration Fees is offered to all Exhibitors.

Innovation Showcase Fees
The cost of  space consisting of one standard 6 foot table, skirted, with two chairs is $150 (plus HST).  You must be registered for the Conference to participate.

How to Reserve Space
Please fill in the Exhibitor/Innovation Showcase Contract Form that can be found below and email, fax or mail it to Rosanne Mensour (contact details can be found on contract form). Space is limited therefore, please ensure that you submit your contract with full payment.

Exhibitor Representatives
Exhibitor representatives will have access to the exhibit hall and coffee breaks. To participate in conference sessions, exhibitor representatives must register for the conference – a 20% discount on registration is given to Exhibitors.

Innovation Showcase Representatives
Innovation Showcase participants must be registered as Conference attendees in order to participate.

Allocation of Space
Assignment of exhibit/showcase  space will be made on a first-come first-served basis. Space will not be held without full payment and a signed Exhibitor/Innovation Showcase contract.**

**ACCT Canada, as managing partner for the conference, reserves the right to assign or relocate as deemed necessary.

Set-Up and Dismantling of Exhibits
Organizations may begin to assemble their displays between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 5, 2010. It is expected that all displays will be presentable by 8:00 a.m. on Monday, December 6. Dismantling may begin after the last afternoon coffee break on December 7. All exhibits must be dismantled by end of day on December 7th.

Cancellation Policy
All cancellation requests must be received in writing. Organizations  that submit a cancellation request in writing on or before November 19, 2010 will be entitled to a full refund less a $100 administration fee. Cancellation requests received  after November 19 are non-refundable.

Insurance
The Exhibitor or Innovation Showcase participant organization covenants and agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Westin Hotel, ACCT Canada, FPTT, and NCE from and against all claims, demands, charges, losses or damages arising or alleged to arise directly, indirectly or incidentally by reason of any act, omission or operations of the Exhibitor or showcase organization, its officers, employees, agents or anyone for the Exhibitor is legally responsible.

The Exhibitor/Innovation Showcase organization acknowledges that its equipment and property at the Hotel is not protected by insurance, fire, theft, vandalism, etc. by the Westin Hotel, ACCT Canada, FPTT, or NCE and the protection of such is the responsibility of the Exhibitor/Innovation Showcase participant..
